Malindo Airlines India has been approved from Indian Aviation Board. Hybrid Malaysian Malindo Airlines, is in the final stage of getting approved from the Indian Aviation Board to start services and flights to the India.Chandran Rama Muthy (Chief Executive Officer) mentioned destinations in India such as Mumbai Kochi and Delhi where the airline was looking to offer services.

Malindo is still waiting for confirmation and approval and they expect to hear the decision in about 2 months At present Malindo flies to to 12 destinations of which 11 routes are domestic routes and one international.

Dhaka is to be the next destination to start next week. By the end of 2013, Malindo Air would have 21 destinations of which 61% will be domestic routes. Malindo airline will be receiving 3 new ATR72-600 aircraft next two month and will be introducing new destinations as well.The carrier is also striving to fly 1.7 million passengers by 2014 from about 300,020 passengers volume currently.

In 2014 Malindo's target is to have 3.5 million passengers volume.This will be due to 10 additional aircraft added to Malindo's fleet next month.
